We are pleased to announce that Sakaguchi and Leon, participated in the Graz Tunnel Safety and Ventilation Conference held in Graz in April 2026.
The Graz Tunnel Safety and Ventilation Conference is an international conference dedicated to tunnel engineering, underground construction, tunnel ventilation control, and safety technologies. The event brings together engineers, researchers, and industry professionals involved in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of tunnels from around the world.
During the conference, our company gave a presentation entitled “Web-Based Monitoring, Control, and Data Acquisition Platform for Road Tunnel Safety in Japan.” Through this presentation, we introduced our initiatives and technologies aimed at enhancing the safety and efficiency of road tunnel operations in Japan.

The area surrounding the square in the historic old town of Graz, where the conference was held, was truly beautiful. The overhead tram wires create a distinctive atmosphere that is characteristic of many European city centers.
The streets lined with historic buildings, together with the vibrant flower beds in the foreground, made the scenery especially charming. This area is part of central Graz and belongs to the city’s historic old town, which has been designated as a Historic Centre of Graz UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The photograph below shows the historic City Hall located in the center of Graz, Austria.Built in the Neo-Renaissance style, the building is distinguished by its central tower and decorative statues adorning the façade.
The red-white-red flags visible in the photograph are the national flags of Austria.

The round dish shown on the left is called a Knödel, a traditional dumpling made from bread or potatoes. It is commonly served as a side dish with meat dishes such as Schweinsbraten.

Through this business trip and our participation in the Graz Tunnel Safety and Ventilation Conference, we had the valuable opportunity to exchange views on tunnel safety concepts and government-led infrastructure strategies in various countries. It was a highly meaningful experience that fostered international collaboration and professional exchange among participants from around the world.
