It is my third trip to Chennai, India.

I usually arrived at midnight, but this time, I arrived during the day for the first time.

A man is on top of the car carrying the luggage.

I arrived during the day and opted to take the subway from Chennai Airport to the hotel.

The ticket was priced at 50 Indian Rupees, roughly equivalent to 90 yen, considering the exchange rate.

Inside view of train. Interestingly, despite being called a subway, the system includes above-ground stations, similar to those in Japan.

I tried the “Naan” it was so delicious.

I often had lunch at the hotel restaurant, but I ate this chicken hot sandwich about 4 times.

Biryani is delicious, but sometimes I want to eat something not spicy.

Is it rare in Japan these days? This hotel had a motto “Guest are like God”.

Certainly, the services were good.

Near the hotel, there seemed to be a upscale residential area. This area had beautifully maintained streets, unlike any other nearby.

This is the second longest beach in the world. It’s not only long horizontally but also vertically, so it was quite a trek to reach the sea.

This is Sao Tome Cathedral.

In India, the Cricket World Cup was being held.

Cricket is the second most popular sport after Soccer.

India is the top contender for the championship. Everyone is passionate about cricket.

I use taxis for work, but for other occasions, I use vehicles called “Tuk-Tuk”. It’s about 200 Yen per ride.
