President Nakahori, Mr. Segou, and Mr. Thanh (a Vietnamese staff member) from our company visited the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam during their business trip to Vietnam from November 13 to 16, 2024

We promoted our products to a Vietnamese jet fan manufacturing company. It was the first business trip for our new Vietnamese employee, Mr. Thanh, and he seemed a bit nervous!

Spotted something unusual in the city — a street barber setup!Apparently, they might not even have a proper license…?Also saw some chickens right in front of the shop — there were even little chicks! Too cute not to snap a photo.

There were lots of coconuts lined up — it’s a fresh juice stand!

We had dinner at a terrace restaurant, sipping on coconut juice and beer. You can see the two of them looking a bit more relaxed after wrapping up the day’s work.

We tried Cha-Kar-Lavong, fried snakehead fish stir-fried with onions and herbs. The sauce made from small fermented shrimp, Mantum, has a strong flavor, so we used Nước Mắm instead. Our president also gave it a try!

And here we have Bún Chả. It’s a traditional Vietnamese dish from Hanoi. It consists of grilled pork, sweet and sour sauce, rice noodles (Bún), and fresh herbs. The balanced flavors make it a popular choice among both locals and tourists.

This is our fourth blog about my business trip to Vietnam. No matter how many times I visit, Vietnam always shows a different side. Our company’s home base is in Kobe, and until now, Kobe Airport only had domestic flights. However, starting next year, international flights will be available, and during the 2025 Golden Week (GW), a charter flight connecting Kobe Airport with Vietnam will be in operation. Vietnam is becoming more accessible and feels closer than ever.
