Sakaguchi, Sako, and Segou went on a business trip to Vietnam!

We were there from March 3rd to March 7th, 2024.

When I departed from Kansai International Airport, there were many students.

Nowdays, people use their spring break to go on trips overseas.

We arrived at Hanoi Airport as schedule.

Immigration, baggage pickup, and customs clearance were all smooth this time.

I arranged a taxi using the ride-hailing service Grab and headed to the hotel.

For currency exchange, all the banks offered the same rate, with 1 yen equaling VND 162.5.

The hotel I stayed at was near Hanoi University of Technology. It costs about 6,000 yen per night for this size room.

Interestingly, our company research space has located within Hanoi University of Technology!

In this space, in cooperation with Deputy Director Dan of the University’s Automatic Control Research Institute, we are conducting experiments on an inverter ventilation power panel that was prototyped in Vietnam.

In Vietnam, there are as usual a lot of motorcycles.

On the way to Hanoi University of Technology, there was a vegetable garden, and I saw people wearing traditional Vietnamese leaf hats, known as Non LA, while working.

And speaking of Vietnam, how can we forget about Pho? It was delicious.

This is the parking area where we took a break during our tunnel tour, which is a 5-hour drive from Hanoi. It’s very colorful. Surprisingly, they were selling the same toys that my niece loves in Japan.

It also appeared in the previous blog.

Vietnam is all about Saigon beer.

I ate local black chicken and pork hot pot.

I was surprised that they were drying the dishes outside.

Of course, We finished our work and headed back home.
