—What kind of event you have participated?A conference and exhibition on tunnel safety and ventilation. The participants are mainly from Europe, especially German-speaking countries. There was also a booth where you could drink wine, and the atmosphere was to have fun and discuss things.
What theme did you present on?I presented the “Thermal Image Detector Automatic Notification System” registered by NETIS this year. This facility uses dual cameras for visible and infrared light. In the presentation, I reported relevant fire detection experiments and proposed a fire detection and monitoring system using this facility.
–What was your overall impression of the event?Overall, there were many presentations regarding the safety of the tunnel, especially there were presentations on compressed hydrogen and compressed natural gas. There were many presentations of verification (CFD, etc.) using real data through simulations, and I felt that more realistic approaches were needed.
